Beverley Town CC 3rd XI were on the wrong side of a four wicket defeat at home to Cottingham CC 1st XI on Saturday.
Dave Ricardo, batting at nine, biffed a quick-fire 48 including three six wickets from as Beverley Town rallied late on to reach 161 all out. Other contributions came from Peter Hynes (30) and Tim Fordon (28) at the top of the order.
In reply Ricardo took an early wicket, but on a sound wicket Cottingham had little trouble reaching their target as they made 164-6 off 38.2 overs.
