Tour de Yorkshire Roadshow To Be Hosted In Beverley

Businesses, community groups and members of the public in the Bridlington and Beverley area who are interested in getting involved in the 2020 Tour de Yorkshire are being invited to a free roadshow.

This year’s Tour de Yorkshire will start in Beverley on Thursday, 30 April. News that the historic town of Beverley would host start was made pubic back in January.

It will go through Tickton, Leven, Catwick, Sigglesthorne, Seaton, Hornsea, Atwick, Skipsea, Beeford, Lissett, Bridlington, Sewerby, Marton, Flamborough, Bempton and also Buckton.

The race will then head along the coast to before reaching the finish in Redcar.

Race organisers Welcome to Yorkshire, supported by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, will be hosting roadshows in Beverley and Bridlington.

Councillor Richard Burton, leader of East Riding of Yorkshire says that it is exciting news for Beverley to be welcoming the race. he also says that the town is no stranger to hosting the start.

Commenting on the roadshows he said;

“This is a great opportunity to come along and find out more about what is happening in your local area and how you can get behind the event and support the race on the day.”

Tour de Yorkshire Roadshow To Be Held In March

Those in the Beverley area will be able to attend an event that will take place on Thursday, 12 March. This will be held that the Beverley Leisure Centre between 6pm and 8pm.

While for businesses and people in Bridlington the roadshow will be held at Bridlington Spa. This is due to take place on Thursday, 5 March between 5.30pm and 7pm.

The roadshows will include a short presentation and detailed information on the route.

Advice will be offered on how to make the most of the event. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions of representatives from Welcome to Yorkshire and the council.
