Dozens of children and adults are enjoying a fantastic opportunity to develop their tennis skills this summer at Cherry Burton Tennis Club.
The village club has employed professional coaching company First Serve Tennis to provide a series of high-quality coaching courses for the community, which have already attracted 35 children and 16 adults.
Cherry Burton Tennis Club chairperson Vicky Wicks said:
“This not only gives the children an opportunity to learn new sporting skills but is also important for the future of the club, allowing new talent to be developed both for the benefit of the club and the individual.”
Jon Thordarson, a professional coach with First Serve Tennis, says he’s delighted with the enthusiasm shown by the children who have participated so far.
The courses run in five week modules, costing £15 for children and £20 for adults. The next module starts on Sunday 27 th June at 10am for children up to year 2.
Years 3-6 start at 10.45am and adults start at 11.30am.
To enroll in the new module please contact club secretary Ginny Vorwerg on 01964 550078 or e-mail vorwerg@btinternet.com
