‘The Atlantics’ Bring Rock n Roll to Etton

North Devon based rock n roll band ‘The Atlantics’ are bringing their rock n roll party to Etton on Friday November 12th at 7.30 pm as part of the ArtERY rural touring scheme to village halls.   They bring songs from the likes of Bill Haley, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry and Big Joe Turner as well as their own tracks.  It is a high energy mix of 1950s style jump jive and rock n roll.

‘The Atlantics’ last CD, ‘Big Beat Boogie’, had international airplay (Europe, USA, Japan and Australia) and was sold worldwide from their American distributor.  The band regularly tour across the UK, appearing at rock and roll clubs and festivals.

This five piece band (including double bass, piano, lap steel, sax, guitar, drums and 4 vocalists) create a big authentic 1950s sound and a great energetic show. Sax player Ruby said, “The village hall dates are a great chance for us to get up close to the audience and play our music in an atmosphere like the village dance events they had in the 1950s.  It combines great music with a chance for a night out right on your doorstep and is something that appeals to all ages”.
