Beverley RUFC travel to Lancashire on Saturday to take on bottom club Rochdale in a National League 3 (North) fixture.
Having lost last weekend to second bottom club Billingham, the Beavers now face the real prospect of relegation. They have 9 games remaining, with 6 away from home. Of these 4 are the last 4 of the season.
Beverley have proved more than a match for anyone in this league and it is extremely frustrating to see them now in this position, largely as a result of their own silly mistakes.
A win on Saturday, followed by one the following week at home to fellow strugglers Middlesbrough would do much towards relieving the pressure, but they are, once again, struggling with selection headaches due to injuries and players unavailability. Defeat will give them a major headache and cannot be contemplated.
