AFC Tickton Make Generous Donation to Local Charity Real Aid

Colin Conman Club Chairman AFC Tickton along with General Secretary Jimmy Traynor and Ellie Towse Voluntary Coordinator handed over a donation of over 350 club kit items including children’s and adults football kits, footballs, and unused trophies to Real Aid’s Chris Sahin and Michelle Middleton.

Despite the horrendous weather dozens of the clubs players young and old turned out to see the handover.

These items will make their way to Sierra Leone in West Africa where they are sure to bring great joy to many disadvantaged youngsters who just like youngsters anywhere in the world enjoy the sport of football.

Football is by far the most popular sport in Sierra Leone. The Sierra Leone national football team, governed by the Sierra Leone Football Association, is popularly known as the Leone Stars and represents the country in international football competitions.

Chris Sahin from Real Aid said:

“This donation will mean that these young people will get the opportunity to take part in an activity they otherwise would not be able to join in with. Real Aid would like to thank the club for their support this donation will help change the lives of many children.”
