Police in Beverley are appealing for the victim of an alleged assault to come forward.
The incident occurred on Saturday 2 April 2011at approximately 0145hrs outside of the Cross Keys Hotel, Lairgate, Beverley.
A man was allegedly knocked to the floor and punched in the head several times by another man.
The victim of the assault is said to have been bleeding heavily and left the scene, heading in the direction of the bandstand.
The victim has not reported the incident to the police and now detectives are keen to speak to him to ensure his welfare following this incident.
The victim is described as a white man, aged approximately 22 to 28 years, with short black hair, and he was wearing a white t-shirt.
