Beverley Town Mohicans under-13s were on top of their game to win the Plate Cup at Hall Road Rangers’ Dene Park ground today (Sunday).
They coped with windy conditions far better than opponents Springhead FC on a bobbly pitch to claim a fully-deserved 4-2 victory.
Man of the Match Danny Naldrett and Will Collingwood led the way for Beverley with a double apiece, and an all-round display of bravery and skill proved too much for Springhead.
A strong following of friends and family could not contain their delight as the cup was presented to a deserving Mohicans.
Louie Kelly lifted the cup on his final appearance for the Beverley Town Mohicans before he jets of for a new life in Australia.
Man of the Match Naldrett said: “It wass massive win for us because we’ve tried 3 times and we’ve finally won.”
