Bishop Burton Flower Club has recently changed its name to Beverley Flower Club.
The reasons for this are that floral demonstrations have been taking place in Beverley at Longcroft Lower School, Molescroft in Beverley for some years now and some demonstrators have found it a little confusing to be demonstrating in Beverley when the club was called Bishop Burton.
The club are also hoping to attract more members from Beverley, itself, and of course the surrounding area to hopefully boost membership.
The start of the 2011/12 programme began with Audrey Foster, an area demonstrator, who completed arrangements entitled “And that reminds me ….”. Audrey explained why she had chosen the given designs which included “The Secret Garden”, the Rocky Mountains, afternoon cocktails in the garden, hay time with grandad, and an enjoyable workshop and these were completed in a diversity of colours and styles. An enjoyable evening was had by all.
