Blue & Golds Concede Yorkshire Cup Tie

The blue and golds conceded their Yorkshire Cup tie away to Thorne Moorends. A decision was taken in midweek not to go taking in to account the youthfulness of the side.

Coach Richard Shaw commented;

“We have just played two matches against very physical opposition a third in a row against far higher ranked opposition could have put some of our youngsters off for goodl”

Secretary Keith Deyes added;

”We will incur a £100 fine but that will be more than offset by not incurring the cost of the coach to Thorne”

Beverley ARLC will attempt to get their season back on track this Saturday when they travel to play Fenners at Marfleet Lane kicking off at 2pm.

Richard Shaw is looking to beef up his squad which contains several teenagers. He said;

”We have several very enthusiastic youngsters but in our first two games of the season it has been largely men against boys so we are looking for a few experienced seasoned campaigners who will hopefully provide a little more bulk”
