Hull FC demolished Hull Kingston Rovers at the KC Stadium in the Good Friday derby.
This was the first time I have experienced a competitive game between the two sides and it was not a disappointment.
An almost full KC Stadium created a fantastic atmosphere, some were calling friends who were sat with the opposing fans with plenty of banter being shared between the supporters.
The one-sided score line did not come easy for the home side, Hull FC were made to battle by Hull Kingston Rovers before eventually running away to an emphatic win.
This was the first derby win for Hull FC’s coach Peter Gentle and one he and the fans will no doubt enjoy.
For local Craig Ford who went to the game with his girlfriends mum, on the train back to Beverley had time to reflect on the match, when asked if he would get any stick he said;
“My girlfriend is a Hull fan, she has already started texting me, I am just ignoring them, she will certainly be giving me some stick over this result.”
Final Score: Hull FC 36 Hull Kingston Rovers 6
