The Eager Beaver were beaten three nil by the Humber Colts as both sides continued their build up to the new season.
Phillip Matthews, skipper of the Eager Beaver said;
“The score line flatters the Humber Colts; we made them work hard for the win and felt we were unlucky not to get on the score sheet; our squad is tiny compared to theirs.”
“Tom Moore was once again the Colts best player; you see why he was and still remains a player we would dearly like to bring into our team.”
“I feel the Colts will need to improve on this performance if they are to follow on from the success of previous seasons.”
