Local artist Nick Matson opened his new show of ten pictures and ten drawings at Creation Fine Arts last Wednesday.
The pictures are a record of the River Hull where it passes through Swinemoor Meadows. Nick said “I have enjoyed putting this collection together and showing an area of Beverley that is easily overlooked. I hope the work reminds those who see it of the past importance of the river and it’s more relaxed atmosphere now.”
The exhibition is pleased to also be supporting Dove House Hospice and one drawing along with a limited edition canvas of the painting “Love Boat” will be raffled by Creation Fine Arts.
Owner of Creation, Nigel Walker, said “It is terrific that Nick wants to donate work to support such a brilliant cause at this time of year. We hope that all our visitors will feel able to buy a ticket and give themselves a chance to support Dove House but also win a unique piece of artwork”.
About ninety people attended the preview and the show continues until 30th December.”
