West Hull were celebrating this weekend after beating local rival’s East Hull in the National Conference League by eight points.
West Hull talisman Tom Radley who was moved to centre proved to be a pivotal part in the West’s win opening the scoring for the home side mid-way through the first half.
Radley told HU17.net after the game;
“It is always good to beat East Hull, they have a big pack and are a tough side. The conditions made it hard, and we did not help ourselves with the errors we made.”
“To play in the centre was good, although I missed getting stuck in with the big lads playing in the middle gave me the chance to score. Everyone knows the centres get all the glory!”
The win keeps West Hull in the play-off spots in the table two points ahead of Siddal. Next weekend, the West’s hit the road Egremont Rangers that have the same amount of points as West Hull.
Final Score: West Hull 28 East Hull 20
