Dynamos Complete Their Pre-Season Schedule

Beverley Town Dynamo U10s have now completed their pre-season build up ahead of their much-anticipated campaign in Division One. The earlier part of the summer saw them enter three tournaments in quick succession.

Two of which they won (without conceding a goal ) , before having to accept runners-up in the third one being beaten only on penalties in the final.

They then went on to a series of friendly fixtures – all deliberately picked against quality opposition. Dynamos first ever formal match took place at their new Bishop Burton facility against an academy side from Grimsby Town FC. This was a fast tempo affair with very high standards of football on show, the Dynamos narrowly losing both games 1-0 and 2-1 respectively.

Westella and Willerby were the next visitors, and once again, the quality was high, Beverley running out comfortable winners in both games 2-1 and 3-1.

They then travelled across the Humber for a tricky fixture at Discoveries FC, a team that dominates the South Bank. However, once again, Town excelled and came back with a highly respectable 0-0 draw and 1-0 victory.

For their final warm up game they visited near rivals Driffield Panthers, this is a side they will face in the league in the coming weeks. Although Panthers started the stronger Town gripped both games in midfield and went on to record a 1-1 draw followed by a deserved 2-1 win.

Town manager John Galloway had this to say:

“To be honest from a standing start with a brand-new team put together only in June of this year I couldn’t have wished for a better start, whilst we knew we had a group of talented players we weren’t so sure of how we would perform as a team, but the boys have been outstanding ” he went on to say: “Got to give a mention to my assistant Stu Wallis here for the work he has put into preparing the squad on a week to week basis , a big hand also to Beverley Town first team manager Dave Ricardo whose input on the training pitch is priceless.”

“The new season now starts, and I’m confident we can continue this form and have a fruitful league campaign.”

Beverley Town Dynamo will kick off their new season against Westella & Willerby this coming Sunday at Bishop Burton College.
