The 2013 Racing Season Comes To An End At Beverley

This week saw the horse racing season come to an end for the season at Beverley. A few thousand people were at Beverley Racecourse at the last meeting for 2013.

The year has seen some great meetings at Beverley Racecourse, there were monster crowds at Beverley for the Family Day and the ever popular Donkey Derby also made a reappearance.

Kate McKee Market Executive at Beverley Racecourse said;

“It has been better than ever, this season. The new theme days have struck the biggest cords with people. Newcomers Day, May Day Races where we had the petting zoo and the Sunday Best racing have all been very popular.”

“This season we also worked hard with the build up to the Family Day which was of course a hugely popular meeting.”

Things are not quite over at the Racecourse just yet, on Sunday 6th October, there is the traditional end of season Holderness Pony Club Day, which gives youngsters to race on the track at Beverley.
