Beverley squash player Lydia Robinson won the U13 Yorkshire Championships in Pontefract at the weekend after seeing off competition from across the county.
After progressing through the tournament with a series of comfortable wins, Robinson defeated rival Eve Perrin (Pontefract) in the final with a tight 11-9, 11-6, 11-8 victory.
In a further boost, both Robinson and her Beverley Squash Club team mate Zac Toes have received their first call up for Yorkshire representation at U13 level at the forthcoming national inter county championship in Durham in October.
As both players are still 11, the experience of representing their county will provide a great platform for a number of competitions in the forthcoming season.
Both players have been training at Beverley Squash Club over the summer and would like to thank the club for their continued support.
