Following on from the very successful evening last year the Oxfam Cake Club has arranged another special Chocolate Tasting Evening at 7pm on Friday 14th March at Lempicka Café, Wednesday Market, Beverley.
Lempicka Cafe specialises in beautiful, hand-crafted chocolates and the evening will include a talk by Lempicka’s own resident “Expert Chocolatier” on what goes into the creation of their delicious chocolate works-of-art.
Claire Strawbridge, the owner of Lempicka Café says:
“We are pleased to welcome back the Oxfam Cake Club to another of our ever-popular Chocolate Tasting Evenings as part of their fund-raising activities.”
“As before, there will be a chance to taste different qualities of chocolate ranging- from basic chocolate flavour right through to special chocolatier ‘coverture” and “single origin’ cocoa products – and to learn also what makes each type of chocolate so different and why tastes vary according to region, processing and treatment.”
“Chocolate tasting uses some of our most important senses – sight, smell and taste – which I think everyone will agree, makes the experience all the more enjoyable!”
This event promises to be a great way to indulge a little in some gorgeous, luxury confectionery and equally importantly, to learn more about and to support Oxfam’s very worthwhile campaigns.
June Waudby said;
“The Oxfam Cake Club warmly welcomes new members to join us in our regular monthly fun and to share in a passion for all things scrumptious in home baking.”
After what no doubt will be a very sensual experience of chocolate, those attending may care to finish off their night with a plate of delicious hand-crafted chocolates and perhaps treat themselves to specialty coffee too. Please note there will be a nominal fee for evening to cover costs and partly as a donation to Oxfam causes.
