This year sees the inaugural East Riding College Degree Student Conference in Beverley. The event is set to take place at the historical Beverley Minster on the 14th May 2014.
It will in essence be the culmination of three years hard work by the 2011 cohort as their BA (Hons) in Contemporary Media Design & Production degree draws to a culmination. The Beverley Minster was chosen as the location for this conference due to its awe inspiring nature and impact.
The conference will comprise an open exhibition of the students work which the attendees can freely peruse at various points before, during and after the conference. The main highlight of the day is most definitely going to be the presentations by the students of the dissertation topics. Presentations will be made in a short and accessible format with Q&A opportunities at the end of each speech.
It is expected that the doors will be opened at 1030 for admittance on the day and the event will run until 1600, these times are still currently TBC. Refreshments and light snacks will be on offer to attendees and it is hoped that most will make a day of it in order to fully see what exciting talents are on offer from the local region.
There will be invites to the conference going out to local businesses however there are limited general public places and those who are interested should get in touch to secure a place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Local businesses or individuals who wish to sponsor the event contact can be made through the same means to discuss potential options.
The day is sure to be a great success and it will most undoubtedly go from strength to strength in the years to come, providing students with a platform from which to display their skills and abilities.
