Whisky Tastes And Staal Smokehouse Host A Luxury Tasting Event

Whisky Tastes and Staal Smokehouse invites whisky drinkers and food enthusiasts to their tasting event being held on Butcher Row in Beverley on Friday 6th June 2014. The two local businesses have collaborated to offer people the chance to experience a selection of whiskies and smoked produce.

Passionate about sharing their knowledge with fellow whisky lovers, Whisky Tastes hold tasting events across East Yorkshire. Founder, Nick Tindall is a passionate whisky connoisseur and wants to educate local people about drinking responsibly and how to identify each dram by noting characteristics from the four main whisky producing regions of Scotland and other producers around the world.
Nick says:

“With an increasing interest in pairing whiskies with complementary foods it gives our guests the opportunity to sample smoked produce from Staal Smokehouse as well as finding out how whisky and smoked produce can complement and enhance one another. Smokey and peppery whiskies go really with smoked fish so it will be great to identify other heightening combinations.”

Staal Smokehouse is an award winning family run business dedicated to delivering the finest smoked produce. Justin Staal smokes a variety of produce including Salmon, Mackerel, Trout and Duck, supplying both individual consumers and leading restaurants across Yorkshire.

“I am delighted to have been invited to Whisky Tastes’ event in June. We’re always looking for innovative new recipes and we believe that there is no substitute for top quality ingredients and whisky shouldn’t be excluded from that.
