Humber Premier League Champions Beverley Town remain in the top four after they beat Wawne United 2 – 1.
Jonny Ricardo and Adam Williamson scored for Town while Sean Scothorne netted for United at Kingswood College.
Speaking after the Town manager Ross Cording said;
“It was a great result, the pre season friendly has been avenged.”
“Although the score suggests otherwise, this was a comfortable 2-1 win. The Wawne keeper was outstanding, but the Beverley keeper was spectator.”
Beverley are away again this weekend as they take on Hessle Rangers, who are yet to win this season.
Final Score: Beverley Town Football Club 2 Wawne United 1
