Beverley Town FC lost their sixth game of the season as they went down 4-1 to Hull United AFC at Dene Park.
Town got off to the worst possible start and found themselves four goals behind by half time with goals from Brett Agnew (2), Ben Kinsley and former town player Asa Pardoe.
Despite a spirited second half performance from the Champions led by their skipper Jonny Ricardo, Town were unable to overturn the score line. They did grab a consolation goal late on when Shaun Gibson headed home from a Sam Tucker free kick.
Speaking after the game Cording said;
“The first twenty minutes of the game went well. We were very much in the game and had a couple of half chances. Then they have steamrollered us till half time.”
“Our second half display very pleasing as it was a performance worthy of champions, that we still are.”
Hull United remain in the fourth place in the Humber Premier League, five points behind the leaders Reckitts AFC while Town stay in eighth spot.
Town will look to get back on track next Saturday when they host Hedon Rangers at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
