Inter Beaver boss Michael O’Connell says Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Myton United was one of the worst performances he has witnessed at the club.
Inter went into the game knowing a win would see them go second in the league table but missing a number of players Inter never looked like they would get anything out of the match.
O’Connell, speaking after the game said;
“The majority of the team where on a night out on the Saturday and it showed. We missed Alex Stark massively. Mike Martin didn’t turn up and we had myself Tom Davies, Adam Foster, Dave Barley and Andrew Stott were all unavailable.”
“Myton United where more up for it and deserved their win. It was one of the worst performances I’ve seen Inter Beaver produce.”
“There was no tempo, we did not create anything either. Mike Morris in goal kept the score at just two otherwise it could have been a lot worse.”
Defeat leaves them mid table. With just two weeks till the derby against the Humber Colts O’Connell will be looking for his side to regroup and bounce back.
Final Score: Inter Beaver 0 Myton United 2
