Mohicans started brightly with Harry Staniforth winning the ball and played Will Collingwood down the line who crossed for the forwards to run onto but none managed to connect and the ball was cleared. Louie Kelly was again controlling the defence, he layed a ball to Greg Whyley in space who threaded a pass through to Dan Naldrett. He held off a couple of challenges before finishing nicely. More chances were created by clever play from Sam Tuft and Steve Heath but were stopped by an Anlaby keeper in good form. After 20 mins Anlaby scored from a shot outside the box which Charlie Brooks in goal stood no chance to save.
After strong words at half time and an emphasis on getting the ball down the wings, Mohicans heeded the advice and within 5 minutes of the restart had scored when Will Collingwood latched onto a ball from Dan Naldrett. The next five mins brought another two goals with Jamie Spence blocking a clearance and then played through to Steve Heath to score, he then turned provider for Oli Morrison to coolly finish under pressure.
Mohicans were now in control with Anlaby finding it difficult to clear as Marc O’Hare, Sam Tuft, Steve Heath and Oli Morrison all closing down even from dead balls. Oli Morrison neatly layed the ball to Will Collingwood to score again and then Jamie Spence won the ball back and sent Will in to complete his hattrick. With a performance not as commanding as the previous week but still managed a 6-1 scoreline. Well done lads and to Will Collingwood man of the match.
