The long-awaited Beverley Real Ale Festival at St Mary’s Church proved to be a massive hit as hundreds attended the first event of its type in one of Beverley’s most historic land marks.
The last weekend of this month, 26th – 28th October, sees the second ever Beverley Blues Festival. The event takes place at the historic Sun Inn, overseen by the magnificent Beverley Minster and Hodgsons’ public house, situated next to the Beverley Leisure Centre.
Now it its eighth year the Beverley Food Festival once again proved to be a massive hit with the tens of thousands of people who flocked into the town for the event.
FiND Charity in Beverley held an end of summer fayre on Sunday for all the students, staff, parents and carers that use their services. There were lots of stalls, including a tombola, treasure hunt and also a barbecue.
This year’s Beverley Literature Festival is as special as ever and packed with the finest quality events for readers of all tastes.
Humberside Fire & Rescue Service held their annual family day at Beverley Fire Station. A very good turnout was helped by sunshine stayed out long enough to make for a top day.
The Victoria Pub, Beverley raised over £100 for charity Help For Heroes at their Family Fun Day. The event was organised by Sophie Upson and Catlin Clark, there were a number of activities for all the family

Mum of three, Sue Saxby of Beverley held a huge family fun day in aid of HERIB (Hull & East Riding Institute for the blind) at Beaver Park. Sue organised the event in memory of her grandmother Helen Barthram
Staff from Arvato held their annual fun day at the Bevelrey Leisure Centre. A number of activities were provided that included formula one simulator, donkey rides, beat the keeper and mini golf.
On the 29th July Real Aid held their first ever Teddy Bears Picnic and Summer Fayre at Tickton Village Hall. It was a fantastic family orientated fun day out.
This week has seen a festival of sport taking place at Longcroft School with activities including Frisbee Golf, Darts, Curling, Volley Ball, Track and Field events. There has also been support from Beverley Leisure Centre
Stunning weather this week saw a large number of people turn up and support the Beverley Christmas Lights as they held a treasure hunt around the town.
A very good crowd gathered in Wednesday Market to take part in an event to welcome in the Olympic Games as people from the East Riding of Yorkshire gathered to ring bells for three full minutes.
The biggest and best Tribfest music festival returns to East Yorkshire over the weekend of August 16th -19th. Up to 5000 fans are expected at the 6th festival being held at the new venue of Sledmere house
