Four East Riding Libraries, including Beverley, will be hosting ‘Cuppa and a Chorus’ events. These events are a chance to enjoy making music with a group of friendly people and to also sing.
Happening in Beverley on Thursday 26 September sessions will be hosted in a relaxed and also welcoming environment/ While all of this will be washed down with a cuppa and cake!
Writer and long-distance walker Raynor Winn will be in Beverley on Sunday, 20 October, to talk about her hugely popular book, ‘The Salt Path’, as part of the East Riding Festival of Words 2019.
When they lost their home and livelihood, just as her husband Moth was also diagnosed with a terminal illness, Raynor and Moth started walking. They impulsively decided to walk the 630 miles South West Coast Path, at a time in their lives when they seemed to have nothing left, and no time.
Lifestyle team Homeless Helpers are staging a family fun day this Saturday at Moelscroft Playing fields.
Homeless Helpers is made up of, George Tatton, Jake Leyland-Jones, Matthew Harris, Jake Roberts and Luca Barker. The five lads have set up the day as they look to raise funds for the charity Emmaus.
Beverley’s winter music festival, Stage4Beverley returns for its fourth year in February (12th – 16th ) and looks set to bring a quality line-up of artists to its host the East Riding Theatre.

The East Riding Festival of Words will be back from 15 – 20 October, bringing popular authors to the local area to talk about murder, belonging and a great deal more besides.
Writers including Christy Lefteri, Ann Cleeves and Jessica Fellowes will all be in Beverley, as part of the event organised by East Riding Libraries.
The brightest stars of the UK’s classical music scene are preparing to visit Beverley for the 2019 Beverley Chamber Music Festival.
Running 25th – 28th September, the festival welcomes two former winners of BBC Young Musician of the Year, violinist Jennifer Pike and cellist Laura van der Heijden, as well as the renowned Brodsky Quartet, to join its Co-Artistic Directors, pianists Martin Roscoe and Libby Burgess.
Following the great success of their charity concert last December, the East Riding & Hull Rock Choir will once again be performing at St Mary’s Church in Beverley on Saturday, June 22nd.
The East Riding & Hull Rock Choir are one of the hundreds created nationwide over the past decade and 28,000 people currently sing within a Rock Choir.
