Beverley RUFC overcame a tough pre season friendly against Scunthorpe of the National League 3 Midlands.The Beavers won the game 37 – 17 with tries coming from Junior Tupai, Tomasi Tanumi, Craig Hancock
Beverley RUFC kick-off their new season with a home friendly match against Scunthorpe on Saturday at Beaver Park Kick-off 3.00.p.m. Training has been going fairly well during the past month and most of last season’s squad have remained at the club.
On Saturday Beverley 2nd team faced a strong Pocklington team at Beaver Park knowing that a place in the Merit League Final awaited the winner. In previous league fixtures there has been very little separating the two sides so a close game was expected.

Hull RUFC Hosted The Simon Smith Charity shield at their home ground on Chantland Avenue. The match featured players who had played against Simon Smith who sadly passed away at the age of 38 from motor neurone disease.
