Beverley RUFC remain second in the table after they beat Moortown 48-22 at Beaver in a performance gaffer Will Turnbull described as outstanding.
Turnbull had called for his ahead of the game to be ready for what he felt would be a Titanic Battle and the response he got was just what the manager wanted.

Turnball ‘s side have suffered just one defeat at home all season while come into this match off the back of a fine win in the derby against rivals Hullensians.
On a fine, dry day Hullensians kicked off and immediately mounted an attack down the left flank. This was thwarted by some sound defending by Beverley but they were unable to make much headway into the Hullensians half initially and play was mostly concentrated on the Beverley 22.
On 7 minutes Hullensians were awarded a penalty which was successfully converted to give them a 3-0 lead. Despite the two sides looking to be pretty evenly matched, Beverley were unable to gain much possession and Hullensians were proving to be very good at retaining the ball. Eventually after 20 minutes, another successful penalty saw Hullensians take a 6-0 lead.
Beverley RUFC Under 15s travelled to West Yorkshire West Yorkshire to face Moortown, puting in another solid performance to come away with a good strong victory.
Beverley were on the front foot from the first whistle and some excellent interlinking ensured the visitors got their match off to god start.
This Yorkshire Shield competition semi final eventually took place today on the third time of asking at Mallorie Park, Ripon, following two cancellations due to dangerous frozen pitches and a two week Christmas break. The home side played the heavy conditions better and deservedly won 17 – 7.
Beverley RUFC Under 15s returned to action with a solid victory against local rivals Pocklington at Beaver Park.
Boosted by the return of long term injured players of Sam Acaster and Tom Barnard they put in a solid performance to overcome an improved Pocklington team.

Beverley who are still in with a shout of promotion needed to dig deep against a side who physically were far bigger than them but did just that to secure the result.
A five point bonus win but not one of Beverley’s better performances. They got there in the end but it was heavy going and Wheatley will think themselves unlucky not to have gone away with at least a losing bonus point.
Beverley struggled all afternoon to come to terms with the chunky Wheatley forwards who ran powerfully and proved difficult to bring down. Ben Fennell, Alex Morris, Charlie Rawlins, Brandon Leggett and Alex Hodgkinson all scored tries in the game, while Hodgkinson was in fine form with his kicking game.
Beverley RUFC across to Settle for their longest trip of the season to take on North Ribblesdale in this Yorkshire Division One match.
Showing eight changes, ~Beverley took their time to settle, but did keep up their custom of conceding a third minute penalty which the Ribblesdale No 10 duly converted to give the hosts a 3-0 lead.

Having made some enforced significant changes in key positions, due to injuries, illness and availability, the players responded exceptionally well and cruised to a convincing win.
This weekend saw Beverley RUFC under 15s end a six-match losing streak with a very convincing victory over Driffield.
The Scoring started early for Beverley with Tom Barnard making a typical catch and side stepping run, to score under the posts inside the first 5 minutes, a try that he converted.
Beverley RUFC U16s beat local rivals Driffield RUFC 41-0 despite having re shuffle their side due to a number of players missing through injury.
This was a match Beverley were always in control of. While Driffield were really very close in ability and size, the clear difference between the teams being unity shone by the Beavers.
Not a lot to say about this match as a lacklustre performance from a surprisingly low key Beverley RUFC side resulted in them being well beaten by an impressive looking Scarborough outfit.
Principally, the difference between the sides on the day was that Scarborough’s defence was superb all match but Beverley’s was, uncharacteristically, poor.
Beverley RUFC travel to North Yorkshire this Saturday as they take on Scarborough in the Northern Division, a match that be crucial to their promotion ambitions.
The Beavers have enjoyed a good run of form in recent weeks that has seen them beat Heath in both league and cup.
