Hessle Sporting and Molescroft FC battled it out in the cup though the it was the visitors, Hessle, who won the game 4 – 3. Molescroft FC battled hard throughout the game but were just unable to peg back their opponents at Thurlow Avenue.
On a cold, wet & miserable morning Mill Lane Blues travelled to Brayton for the first round of the East Riding Girls Football League cup.
Molescroft Rangers were well beaten by Haltemprice Rangers at the Beverley Leisure Centre. Rangers were reduced to ten men after just 20 minutes and were eventually beaten 4 – 1 by the visitors.
Beverley Town Reserves were beaten at the Norwood Recreation Ground by South Cave Sporting. Two goals, one in each half, proved to be the difference between the two sides as Town failed to get anything out of the game against the title contenders.
Mill Lane United remain top of Division Four in the East Riding County League after claiming all three points at Broadgates. High flying United enjoyed a 3 – 1 over Gilberdyke Phoenix Reserves who now slip into the relegation zone after the defeat.
Beverley Town Beavers beat Skirlaugh 2 – 0 in the East Riding County League. Goals from Alex Thompson and one from super sub Andy Nelson were enough to give the home side an all important three points.

Whitestar earned another 3 points that’s kept them in 4th place in the league. The pitch looked good, but upon closer inspection it was just about playable and this became obvious once the game got under way.

Molescroft Rangers were held at home this weekend as they drew 2 – 2 with Haltemprice at the Beverley Leisure Centre. Richard Dixon and Mike Nicholson score the goals for Rangers who are now seventh in the East Riding County League.
