The second Beverley derby in as many weeks saw another hard fought battle between the two teams. Mill Lane United pushed forward from the kick off and would have taken the lead on several occasions if the final shot had found its target.

In a thrilling game AFC Tickton lost by two goals to nil at Longcroft School, both teams played some good passing football, but a superbly taken goal gave Shiptonthorpe a half time lead.
AFC Tickton ended a three match losing streak with a fine 6 – 3 win over Hessle Sporting Pumas at Longcroft School. Next weekend the Pumas with have away day as they travel to the East Coast to play Bridlington Rangers Rhinos.
AFC Tickton started the match with only 10 men and within the first five minutes the ball was in the opponents net. Things got even better for Tickton going two nil up after only 25 minutes.
The Barrel Walkington won in style at the weekend as they beat Molescroft Rangers 7 – 0 at Longcroft School. Victory see the Barrel leapfrog Rangers and move into 8th place in the East Riding County League. Next week Molescroft Rangers will host Wawne United Reserves at the Beverley Leisure Centre.
