Beverley and Holderness MP, Graham Stuart, says his new CADEY (Community Access Defibrillators for East Yorkshire) campaign will address the patchy coverage of these potentially life-saving machines. CADEY brings together local fundraisers, charities and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to drive a more comprehensive strategy towards defibrillators.

Graham was speaking ahead of the second meeting of the CADEY committee, which will be responsible for encouraging fundraising, improving coverage and increasing awareness of where heart defibrillators are and how to use them.

Beverley in Bloom, a subgroup of Beverley Town Council has started preparing the town to look its best for this year’s Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Britain in Bloom Finals competition.

This is the first year that Beverley in Bloom have been selected to go forward to RHS Britain in Bloom, following the successes at regional level over the past few years, where Beverley in Bloom attained Gold, overall large town category winners for two years running and also the Yorkshire Rose Certificate in 2017 for best overall town.

Not much joy here for Beverley. Over the years they have seldom had much success at Acklam Park and today was no exception. A catalogue of errors, missed tackles, and conceded penalties, left them trailing 22-5 at halftime. It was not a great first half. They were left with a big hill to climb and in the end it proved just unattainable despite a splendid second half effort which got them to within striking distance of taking the lead.

The first quarter of an hour seemed to be little more than a relentless stream of penalties awarded against Beverley in their own 22. For some time it looked ominously likely that we were in for a second successive dismal week of incessant whistle blowing.

Graham Says East Riding Is Due Record Investment For Jock’s Lodge Revamp

Beverley and Holderness MP, Graham Stuart, has accelerated his campaign to secure £40 million of funding from the government to transform the dangerous Jock’s Lodge junction. Graham said that the East Riding deserves substantial investment in its infrastructure following major regeneration deals for other areas across the North.

Having met the Transport Secretary to make the case in person, Graham has now written to Jake Berry, Minister for the Northern Powerhouse, and the Chief Executive of Transport for the North, Barry White, to lobby them to support the funding request.
