Seven Year Old Jack Fulfils Riley’s Fundraising Wish

Inspired by his friend’s incredible selflessness, and in celebration of his life, Jack, aged 7, is donating his hair and raising funds for Hull Women and Children’s Hospital’s Neonatal Unit at a fundraiser to be held at the Moulders Arms pub in Beverley.

Riley was a 15-year-old who inspired all those he met with his kind and generous nature. Riley sadly lost his baby cousins Mason and Miles in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Unique Collection Of Japanese Toys Leaving Beverley For A New Home In Durham

Although the popular exhibition, ‘Reflections of Japan in East Yorkshire,’ is closing this Saturday (26 March) at Beverley Art Gallery, it’s not the end of the line for many of its exhibits.

The stunning collection of Japanese toys contributed to the exhibition by local collector Jane Irisa from the East Riding has found a new home. Her entire collection will be going to the Oriental Museum of Durham University.

Sixth form arts award students from St Anne’s School and Sixth Form College will be busking in Beverley on Tuesday, 22 March in order to raise money for the Ukraine appeal.

The students, all of who have some form of learning disability, have been learning to play the tin whistle and since October have been rehearsing Amazing Grace as well as a number of sea shanties.
