Eight Samaritans cyclists stopped off at the Hull Samaritans branch and in Beverley during their 350-mile cycle from London to York.
The ‘Heritage’ cycle aims to raise awareness of the work Samaritans do as well as to raise money for the charity.
Man Sentenced To Seven Years In Jail After Attack On Woman In Beverley
Matthew Littlefield of Highfield Road in Beverley appeared in court today for sentencing after he was found guilty of a serious assault of a woman which happened as she walked home along Hull Bridge Road in Beverley on 16 October 2021.
Littlefield was sentenced to 7 years in custody and will serve a minimum of two-thirds of this before being eligible for parole, he has been sentenced an additional three years on licence when released.

Beverley & East Riding Golf Club have donated over £3,000 to a local NHJS trust. Funds were raised by members of the club which is located on Beverley Westwood.
The club says the charity was chosen as many members at the club hold The Queens Oncology Unit at Castle Hill Hospital in high regard.

First Puffins Unveiled As Part Of East Yorkshire Animal Sculpture Trail
A public art event which makes puffins the stars of stories of conservation, global warming and green energy has taken off with the installation of the first sculptures in a trail stretching along the coast of East Yorkshire.
Organisers of Puffins Galore! placed the first sculpture at the RSPB Centre at Bempton, home to almost half a million seabirds which cram onto the cliffs every year. The second puffin was installed at North Landing, Flamborough, with another in the centre of the village and a fourth at Sewerby Hall.
