Road Users Urged To Leave More Time Due To Humber Bridge Maintenance

For those planning to travel across the Humber Bridge on May 7th and 8th, additional travel time is advised because vital maintenance is scheduled.

As part of the work to resurface the southbound carriageway, a contraflow will be in place between 6pm on Saturday 7 May and midmorning on Sunday 8 May when the work is scheduled to be completed. Beginning at Hessle Tower, the contraflow will proceed south to Barton anchorage.

Join A Major Event Planned For Beverley’s Voluntary Groups

There will be a major event taking place at East Riding Leisure Beverley on Sunday, 26 June, 2022, when many local organisations, sports clubs, and local residents will come together for the Ivan Usher Community Celebration from 10am to 3pm.

This event will take place as a partnership between the council’s health and wellbeing team, East Riding Leisure Beverley, and the Usher family, and it will pay tribute to the memory of Ivan Usher, after whom Beverley Town FC’s stand is named.

Hull City Council and the National Lottery Heritage Fund have selected three of the living statues created for Hull Maritime, the £30 million project being funded by Hull City Council and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, to compete in the World Living Statues Festival, World Championship on 16 October 2022 in Alkmaar, Netherlands.

Cuppa and a Chorus – Make Music and Friends At Your Local Library

People can find their voice and make music with a group of friendly people at Cuppa and a Chorus. The meetings in Beverley are scheduled for the first and third Thursdays of every month from 9.30 to 11 a.m.

Participants can sing in a group for free and meet new people through the Cuppa and a Chorus session. There are nine libraries in the East Riding where sessions are held twice monthly.

The May 14 concert marks the end of his tenure with a performance of some of his favourite music at Hull City Hall. The hugely popular Clarinet Concerto by Mozart with soloist John Bradbury and the Enigma Variations by Elgar, will be complemented by the mighty Brahms Symphony No 4.
