AFC Tickton under 16 girls last game of their East Riding Girls Football League season took place at a windy Longcroft pitch and the blustery conditions seemed to hamper both teams initially.
AFC Tickton gained their first point of a tough season with a scoreless draw against Pelican to the delight of the players and coaching staff.In the second match things didn’t go quite so well with AFC Tickton going down three goals to nil.

AFC Tickton after three games unbeaten, were at home to league leaders, Courts. Courts took control early on and put pressure on the stand-in goal keeper Michael Ringrose who managed to pull off some fine saves
An emphatic 6-1 win saw AFC Tickton Cougars take the Drypool under 11 league title. A Callum Wilkinson hat-trick and goals from Harry Bolt, Dan Taylor and Jamie Mist ensured.
In a thrilling game AFC Tickton lost by two goals to nil at Longcroft School, both teams played some good passing football, but a superbly taken goal gave Shiptonthorpe a half time lead.
AFC Tickton ended a three match losing streak with a fine 6 – 3 win over Hessle Sporting Pumas at Longcroft School. Next weekend the Pumas with have away day as they travel to the East Coast to play Bridlington Rangers Rhinos.
AFC Tickton started the match with only 10 men and within the first five minutes the ball was in the opponents net. Things got even better for Tickton going two nil up after only 25 minutes.
