Following a four-day ‘Enhanced’ inspection in May, Bishop Burton College was able to maintain its Good rating from Ofsted. A Good overall rating was given to the college, along with Outstanding judgements in both the Personal Development and Adult Learning Programmes categories.
Bishop Burton College hosted students, friends and family, industry partners and special guests for two celebration events to acknowledge student success at the Bishop Burton Arena.
The annual events are an opportunity to recognise and applaud the hard work and achievements of those students completing courses this Summer.

Beverley-based Lovel Developments has submitted plans for the next phase of East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s housing masterplan for the town after securing permission for an initial project to build 189 homes.
The Council’s planning committee has now approved the first phase of the scheme south of Willow Lane and Philip Lovel, Managing Director of Lovel Developments, said the decision opens up an area of 14.25 hectares of land which is part of the masterplan.

Local MP, Graham Stuart, is asking the council to explain changes to plans for an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant at Plaxton Bridge, Woodmansey.
Following representations from the 60-strong Woodmansey and Dunswell Residents’ Group, Graham has written to the council’s Director of planning, Alan Menzies, to find answers about the alterations – which residents say have not been properly consulted on.
Beverley Town Council remain divided and have made no firm decision with regard to their interest in pursuing acquisition of the old building vacated by St Nicholas Primary School.
