East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s museum’s service has worked in partnership with the Beverley Civic Society to produce a replacement for a dilapidated heritage board.
The new board is being displayed at Hall Garth on the south side of Beverley Minster.
The Pittaway Beverley 10k road race saw a record 1,850 runners descend on the town for the 25th running of the event on Sunday 13 May, which was started by the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu.
Organised by Beverley Athletic Club, the run has become one of the best-loved annual events in the town’s calendar, attracting thousands of runners, spectators and Beverley residents alike.
Beverley Athletic Club is delighted to announce that the Archbishop of York, Dr. John Sentamu, will be present in Beverley on Sunday 13 May and will be the starter of the Pittaway Beverley 10k race.
Dr Sentamu will also provide blessings for both the 10k race and the B&A Scaffolding Fun Run.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has commissioned a colossal artwork by Gary Saunt, which goes on display free of charge at the Treasure House in Beverley on Saturday, 21 October, as the latest stage of its contribution to Hull UK City of Culture 2017
The huge digital painting – measuring over 20 metres in length – has been produced to celebrate the transformational impact of this cultural event on Hull and the East Riding. Gary’s artwork takes the viewer on a cultural pilgrimage from Beverley to Hull.
The Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu has visited East Riding College’s new Beverley campus as part of his six-month pilgrimage around the Diocese of York.
