Graham Stuart MP is encouraging charities and not-for-profit groups in Beverley and Holderness to bid for money from a £4m fund to support efforts to reduce global poverty.
Tickton-based Real Aid, which has shops across the East Riding, is planning to deliver thousands of gift boxes to impoverished children in west Africa and eastern Europe. Last year, the charity delivered more than 4,000 Christmas boxes thanks to kind-hearted donors across East Yorkshire.
