Beverley AC has seen an extremely busy summer, with members running in several high profile events, with some very noteworthy performances.
Fourteen Beverley runners were fortunate enough to experience the huge Great North Run on 10 September, with nine completing the 13.1 mile course in under two hours.
Beverley Athletic Club hosted another successful Walkington 10k race, with a sold out field of 750 in the 10k and 150 in the fun run for the first time in the event’s history.
James Kraft of Scarborough AC was the overall winner posting a new record of 32 minutes 45 seconds over the undulating course.
Organisers of the Pittaway Beverley 10K say that the event was a massive success with record numbers entering and finishing the race.

This Sunday saw the annual Burton Constable 10k and 2.75k races take place. The warm weather meant more work for the runners as they raced round the course.

19 Beverley runners were among the 127 finishers of the Burton Pidsea 10k road race. This is a fast, flat race through rural East Yorkshire. First home for the club was Aubrey Morrell, recording 36:59.

Beverley AC junior athletes were in action over the weekend, as Richmond and Zetland hosted the 6th North Yorkshire South Durham cross country fixture at The Old Race Course Low Moor Richmond.
Beverley Athletic Club Juniors travelled to Hartlepool recently to take part in the penultimate race in the 2014 /2015 North Yorkshire and South Durham Cross-Country League.
