The Really Really Wild Day on Saturday 18 February at the Treasure House, Beverley, from 10am to 3pm, will be a free fun day for all ages at the start of the school half-term holiday.
It will be a chance to visit the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition in Beverley Art Gallery, and see a great deal more besides, and will include a guest appearance from CBBC presenter Ben Shires (presenter of Officially Amazing), from Beverley, who will give talks and entertain visitors with true tales about some amazing and remarkable animals from around the world.
Beverley Art Gallery, in partnership with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Hull UK City of Culture 2017 and the Natural History Museum in London, are proud to showcase one hundred awe-inspiring images from all over the world in a major exhibition that will raise the profile of the Gallery as a must-visit venue for locals and visitors.
There will be a chance to join East Riding Libraries this February Half-Term (20-24 February) for an animal -themed storytime, inspired by the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition at Beverley Art Gallery, which runs from 11 February to 22 April.
The libraries team have selected some fun stories including ‘One to Ten, Animal Mayhem’ by Thomas Flintham, ideally suited to pre-schoolers; and David Walliams’s ‘First Hippo on the Moon’ which is fun for all the family.

Open Art 2016 opens at Beverley Art Gallery on Saturday 26 November. The annual exhibition invites entries from all artists, amateur or professional, living in the East Riding of Yorkshire or Hull.
