‘Sobriety’ Returning to Beverley for First Time in 40 Years

An old girl will be returning home as part of a special visit thanks to Lottery money. The Sobriety was originally built in Beverley 100 years ago back in 1910 at Joseph Scarrs. Archbishop of York Blesses Syntan Barge

The Archbishop of York gave his blessing to the Syntan barge this weekend. Dr John Sentamu travelled along East Yorkshire’s waterways to York from Beverley Beck on the Beverley Barge Preservation Society boat to bless the York Millennium Bridge on its tenth anniversay.
