The Beverley Christmas Lights were switched on by the Mayor of Beverley David Elvidge. The Beverley Pipe Band led a parade from Market Cross up Toll Gavel lighting all three of the Christmas trees with music from the Beverley Pipe Band. The Beverley Food Festival was a great hit, crowds flocked to the Market Place which was transformed into food haven. In the specially erected marquee was a food theatre all carefully managed by top local chef David Nowell of the Tickon Grange Hotel.
