Beverley Civic Society have unveiled a Green Plaque in honour of the feminist Mary Wollstonecraft on the home she lived in when in Beverley.
Lord Lieutenant of the East Riding, The Hon. Mrs Susan Cunliffe Lister officially unveiled the Green Plaque at a short ceremony that was well attended.
Graham Stuart MP will be attending the unveiling of a plaque in Beverley to commemorate the childhood home of author Mary Wollstonecraft.

Described as the original suffragette, author and free thinker Mary Wollstonecraft was a pioneer of women’s rights, arguing that women should be educated, should be able to vote and to be in government: extraordinary claims for the 18th century.
