Around sixty local darts players came together at the Beverley Conservative Club taking a part in a fund raiser for the N.U.R.S.E. Charity. Local singer-songwriters, the Ragamuffins, will be performing songs from their forthcoming third album on Saturday 28th May 2011 at Beverley’s Conservative Club. The set of new songs tell the stories of local characters that linger long in the memories of many Beverley people. Beverley Conservative Club was the place to be for Beverley’s fashion-conscious women last night. Anthony Milner was crowned Champion of Champions at the Beverley Conservative Club. Milner won the title having accumulated the most points through the 2010 calendar year. He also picked up another trophy for finishing second in the ‘Scratch’ competition. Pam Lockyer celebrated her 50th birthday with friends at family at the Beverley Conservative Club. The party was fancy dress, for some, with an 80s theme. Pam also used the night to collect money for Cancer Research, and raised over £150. Beverley Conservative Club’s second fashion show was a resounding success last night. The event, the brainchild of the club’s social secretary Christine Bulmer, attracted a big crowd and some of the town’s best fashion labels to the Wylies Road club. An enthusiastic audience enjoyed a charity fashion show at Beverley Conservative Club on Wednesday night. Organised by Beverley Social Club Secretary Christine Bulmer, the fashion show featured creations from Beverley Dresser, Browns and The Earth Collection.
