The Melsa Consort will be performing in concert at St Mary’s Church, Beverley, on Saturday 11 June. Under conductor David Wigley and with Colin Wright on the organ, the choir are performing for charity, as is customary. This time the concert is in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Darth Vader and local weatherman Paul Hudson were hunted down in Tickton this weekend. They were just two of a host of lookalike scarecrows hidden around the town for the annual Tickton Scarecrow Hunt. As well as Vader and Hudson, other effigies of famous people that were found included Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as Yoda and Darth Maul from Star Wars.
