‘Plaza Suite’ @ The Beverley Memorial Hall

An entertaining and memorable evening was had at the Tickton Grange Hotel last night. Glenholme Florists of Wilbert Lane, Beverley held a floral demonstration to raise funds for St Pauls Church, Tickton. After a welcome glass of wine the audience were entertained by four demonstrators from the florists shop. This morning pupils from Molescroft Primary School and Keldmarsh Primary School held a special Armistice Day assembly in Hengate Gardens. At 11am the teachers, pupils and veterans stood in silence for two minutes as a mark of respect those who have died while serving their country. Thousands turned up for the annual Beverley Lions Bonfire and Fireworks Display on the Westwood. The bonfire was lit at 7.15 by Mayor of Beverley Bessie Foot and Beverley Lions Chairman Paul James. The Beverley Lions held their annual bonfire and firework display on the Beverley Westwood on Friday 5th November. With help from the soldiers based at DST Leconfield, The Beverley Lions constructed the bonfire out of old wooden pallets and firewood collected from around the Westwoods.
