Essential Workers Eager To Get Back To The Therapy Of The Open Road

Two women who took to motorcycling in their 40s are looking forward to getting back on two wheels as therapy to help them deal with day jobs providing relief for the effects of coronavirus.

Julia Nendick, who works as a carer to her disabled daughter, spends two days a week volunteering at the ESM foodbank at the Freedom Centre in East Hull.

Beverley Town Football Club are say they are looking forward to their ‘Evening With Paul Merson’ which sold out in a matter of days.

The event, which is sponsored by De Lacy Spa is being held at Beaver Park with  the club looking to raise cash to help fund the three senior teams   through ticket sales and by holding a prize draw.

Golf Club Secures Funding To Restore Ancient Westwood Landmark

Beverley and East Riding golf club is set to receive over £26,000 to restore the Westwood’s iconic 200 year old Anti Mill, from a pot of cash paid by developers to support recreation and leisure projects.

Last March, East Riding ward Councillor, Denis Healy, encouraged local community clubs to come forward to bid for the money, known as “Commuted Sums,” which is earmarked for leisure and recreation projects.
