A missing swing will be replaced as a matter of urgency says Councillor David Boynton. His comments come after he was contacted with regard to swing going missing from the local play area.

Cllr Boynton says that while this may seem like a trivial issue, he was pleased it was brought to his attention.

An ‘inspirational’ council officer has been made a Member of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for her work with children and families across the East Riding.

Bridget Bennett, East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s service manager for early years and family support, has worked as a social worker in front line practice since 1977.  She has worked in the East Riding since 1999, having previously managed a family centre in York.
