A win for Beverley RUFC but a disappointing afternoon. On a lovely autumn day crying out for a fast open game it materialised into a ponderous and spluttering affair.
Beverley RUFC under 15 squad opened their season with a match against Cleethorpes. On a gloriously sunny morning, the squad strode out fit and ready following a summer of training.
Two Beverley High School pupils, Sophie Thompson and Vikki Scruton raised over £900 for the Hull Royal Baby Unit as part of their Lifestyle Challenge.
Beverley RUFC open their home campaign for this season with the visit of Morpeth to Beaver Park on Saturday (kick-off 3 p.m.). Head Coach Anthony Posa will be hoping to build on last week’s performance at Old Crossleyans.

On Saturday Beverley 2nd team faced a strong Pocklington team at Beaver Park knowing that a place in the Merit League Final awaited the winner. In previous league fixtures there has been very little separating the two sides so a close game was expected.

Triumph and tragedy here for Beverley RUFC. They achieved another fine victory in their fight to avoid relegation but sadly it was marred by a serious neck injury to Alex Ogilvie which caused a fifty minute delay

An enthralling match.It was fast, furious and never dull and it all ended happily for Beverley RUFC. The upshot was that with the win and four-try bonus point Beverley RUFC are now level pegging in the scrap forthe probable last remaining position of safety.
