A well liked and respected man in Beverley, Tommy Anderson has sadly passed away at the age of 90 years old.
Tommy, who was originally for the North East of England had been living in Beverley for 60 years, during which he became a well known and a much liked member of the community.
Beverley Town Bowling Club said the 2013 Whistle Stop Bowls Contest was the best one yet. The weekend saw 32 teams travel from as far away as Grimsby to take part in the competition held at the Norwood Recreation Ground.

On a wonderful warm evening Beverley Town Bowls Club Pairs entertained Little Weighton A team at the Norwood Recreation Ground. The green was in superb condition but the result was not in Beverley’s favour losing 69 shots to 91.
Beverley Town Bowling Club hosted their 26th Whistle Stop bowling event at the Norwood Recreation Ground on Sunday. Competitors from around Yorkshire took part in quick-fire version of the traditional game of lawn bowls. The event was very well attended by players from around the region and was a colourful spectacle, made all that much better by some brilliant British summer weather. [nggallery id=1569]

Beverley Town Bowls Club closed their season with an internal competition held at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
